Drinking at 10:30am

It's 10:30am, and I had to pour myself a drink to survive. I'm using a wine glass, not because I’m picking the finest pinot but because it makes my sad reality seem brighter.

I'm drinking a Diet Coke because a coffee and an oolang tea did nothing to bring my brain back online.

Why am I such a zombie?

If you've followed me for a while, you might think it's a Hashimoto's flare. And that would be a good guess except... no amount of caffeine gives me energy when I'm thyroid tired.

I'm currently feeling blah af because I'm on new psychiatric meds. I turn 38 in a few days, and this is my first experience with them.

Now, I'm a girl who likes to do things all out. I commit!

I ended up on these drugs after being involuntarily committed to a psychiatric unit.

What landed me on a psych unit?

Maybe my thyroid, according to my endocrinologist, or maybe I was just preparing for Gemini season.

I was there for 12 days, but don't remember all of them. I was heavily drugged like a cat at a Fear Free™ veterinary hospital, but the experience was anything but calming.

I came out of the experience, well, “weirder.”

More anxious, more overstimulated, more exhausted.

And right now I'm supposed to be selling my mastermind.

We opened up a new guest pass level for $333/mo, so pushing that is on my launch schedule.

But I’ll be honest: My brain just doesn't want to go there. It feels too simple when things are more complicated than that.

My brain wants to tell you that I need Diet Coke to survive, and my mom worries I'll destroy my business by telling you that.

But my mastermind is called “The Long Game” for a reason.

Entrepreneurship is a roller coaster, and there are bumps along the road.

Your kid gets sick, you lose a valuable team member, or you somehow land yourself on a psych unit for 12 days. Whoops!

My mastermind members have been overwhelmingly supportive of me during this time. They get that a mastermind isn't just about me. It's about a hive mind you can lean on to support and guide you.

Sure- some of the high-level members get 1-on-1 time with me, and that's what I'm prioritizing when it comes to “work” right now.

But I also have co-coaches who support The Long Game members. I bring in guest experts on topics like demographic analysis and money mindset.

The mastermind isn’t something you join ONLY to access me!

… Although it is how you get to the heart of my artichoke. My mastermind members make up my professional inner circle. (And some have truly become friends.)

As I recently put it, "I'm not your savior."

And I'd beware any offer that positions ONE MAGICAL PERSON as the be-all end-all cure to your business woes.

Is it the best sales strategy for me to tell you I’m only focusing on high-level clients right now?

Yes and no. It might not bring me a ton of new business - you gotta market, advertise, and network to do that. But I'm more concerned about retention than new sales right now.

If you were sick and worried about maintaining your revenue, I'd probably give you the same advice.

So maybe you'll see this and think, "Damn - she's crazy. I'd never pay to be in The Long Game!"

Or maybe you'll say, "Damn - she's real. I bet she could help me build a business and brand that withstands the test of time."

If it's the latter, you're a cool cat.

I'm slowly sifting through applications for The Long Game as I heal. Perhaps you need more content to believe it’s worth the investment - that's fine.

But maybe you've watched me work long enough. I mean, I’ve been in business for over a decade.

(Even though a lot of the staff at the psych unit didn’t believe that- phew. We’ll unpack that later cuz it was wild!)

I can tell you that the The Long Game mastermind:

  • Has 16 members, from new entrepreneurs to business-owning veterans

  • Is coming up on its 2nd year and has a 100% retention rate

  • Includes new guest pass level that gives you the chance to win a 1-on-1 call with me for $333/mo. (1-on-1 calls with me are usually $777)

  • Gives you access to experts in things like marketing campaigns, email marketing, YouTube, and money mindset

If you read that and say, “Crack open another can of Diet Coke and hand me the application, baby!”

Get that application in now.

PS: I know some people are drinking other things at 10:30am for different reasons. I’ve spent 3 weeks in group therapy with addicts and all sorts of iconic humans. If you’re struggling with a different battle than I am, just know I support the hell out of you. <3
